Scouts pitch in to stripe parking lot, trim landscaping

Kenmore Boy Scout Troop 582 led by Tom Brock, and Chris and Fern Riggio Kenmore Cub Scouts Pack 622 and more than 20 of their fellow scouts took on some much needed work at the Kenmore Community Club on Sat. Aug. 10. The scouts donated their time and elbow grease to restripe the parking lot and mow and trim the back lawn and parking lot landscaping.
KCC President David Evans said the work represented a significant donation to the club, with the parking lot striping usually costing in the neighborhood of $1100.

The club and the scouts have had a long-term relationship with the scouts using the KCC hall for weekly meetings for more than 10 years rent-free. As such the relationship is a golden example of community groups working together and giving back to the community.
