Last chance to apply for direct cash assistance funds from

Low income Kenmore residents are encouraged to find out if they qualify for $2000+ ARPA dollars

Kenmore, WA – The City of Kenmore is prioritizing households that have been negatively affected by COVID-19 and are experiencing financial hardship by distributing $1 million in direct cash assistance as part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

At the December 13, 2021 Kenmore City Council meeting, the Council approved increasing the direct cash assistance distribution amounts to $2,000 for each primary applicant and expanding eligibility to Kenmore residents at or below 50% of our Area Median Income (AMI). Residents who may be eligible for these funds are strongly encouraged to apply by January 31, 2022, as the program is ending soon.

“We are thrilled to be able to increase the direct cash assistance amount for each primary applicant to $2,000; this amount will make a difference for households in need," Stephanie Lucash, Kenmore Assistant City Manager/ARPA Administrator said in a press release. "We encourage Kenmore residents who might be eligible for the program to apply as soon as possible.”

Kenmore has partnered with Northshore Schools Foundation to distribute these funds to Kenmore residents. The application process is simple.To apply online, visit: or call 425-408-6044 with questions or for help with the application process.

The Kenmore Cares team has office hours at Kenmore City Hall on Tuesdays between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Thursdays, between 10:00 a.m. and noon. (Please note:  No office hours will be held on December 28 and December 30.)
