Community Emergency Response Training starts Sept. 25 – Register Today

The Northshore Emergency Management Coalition (NEMCo) is pleased to offer the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training, beginning Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025. Register today online.


This free seven-week course empowers residents with essential skills to prepare for emergencies, disasters, and other community incidents. No prior experience is necessary—CERT is designed for everyone, regardless of age or background.


Classes are presented by trained CERT instructors in the areas of Fire Safety, Basic First Aid, Disaster Medical Operations, Light Search & Rescue, Utility Management, and overall preparedness. Regardless of your age, background, experience or capabilities, there is something you can do to help yourself, your family and your community.


The program features interactive, easy-to-follow lessons with hands-on practice, culminating in a realistic disaster simulation to apply your new skills with confidence.


Course Details

Class: Community CERT Basic Program

Dates: Thursday evenings, September 25 – November 6, 2025, with a final simulation on Saturday, November 8

Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Location: Kenmore, Fire Station 51 7220 NE 181st Street Kenmore, WA 98028
