City of Kenmore charges newly created HR manager position with implementing DEI policy

The 2021-2022 Kenmore City Budget provides funding for a new Human Resource Manager position. Part of the Human Resource Manager’s duties will include managing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policy development including overseeing a DEI consultant contract, plan implementation and training and providing staff support to an appointed DEI Task Force.


The consultant and task force’s scope of work will include leading a community engagement process, understanding the most marginalized members of the community and their needs, and developing recommendations for DEI policies and programs for the City to implement.
