Northshore School District Foundation provides free meals and more for Northshore Schools

The Northshore School District provides nutrition support for Northshore students in need while schools are closed, with support of the Northshore Schools Foundation, which has also distributed over 350 grocery gift cards for families, and distributed more than 800 books to kids who need them. In addition, the foundation is supporting childcare in partnership with Champions and the Northshore YMCA (see related post) all thanks to donations from the community.

The school district nutrition support program recently added weekend meals for pickup on Fridays.Weekend meal packs contain 3 lunches and 3 breakfasts. Orders must be placed a day in advance. To order go to the order page on their website, select the location and time that is best for you and then place your order.

Daily meals for children 18 and younger are also available weekdays. Meals must be ordered the day before, and children do not need to be enrolled in the Northshore School District.

Meals include:

• Free breakfast will be delivered with each meal

  • Meals must be preordered the day before between noon and midnight.

  • So we are able to continue serving families, most meals will be served cold and ready to heat at home.

  • Please practice social distancing if you are waiting in line to pick up a meal.

To volunteer fill out the Volunteers and Community Partners form online. The NSD will contact you. Donations to the Northshore Schools Foundation can be made via the foundation webpage.
