At the City’s request, Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is in the process of removing the westbound left turn lane into the businesses along the south side of SR522 just west of 61st Ave NE. Westbound drivers wishing to access the businesses along this stretch of SR522 will need to proceed to Ballinger Way in Lake Forest Park and make a u-turn at the signal. Historically, this left turn has resulted in multiple accidents, and this change is being made to improve safety.
