Social isolation can affect both mental and physical health, especially for older adults. Staying connected – whether through conversation, activities, or volunteering – helps boost mood, memory, and overall well-being. Even small efforts to engage with others can make a big difference.


The Kenmore Senior Center as part of the Northshore Senior Center offers a robust and varied program of ways to do just that. From fitness, to sports, games and volunteer opportunities, and local excursions, there are dozens of ways to enrichment. Check out ways to stay engaged and connected throughout the many programs and events offered at the Kenmore Senior Center and Northshore Senior Center. Below are a handful of current offerings at Kenmore Senior Center.

PICKLEBALL - OPEN PLAY

Mon-Fri 9 am-3 pm

Pickleball is a hodgepodge of tennis, badminton and Ping Pong, played on a court with a three-foot net. Have fun and exercise at the same time.

Court is outside in the park. We have nets, paddles and balls, or bring your own. 2-hour court times available Mon-Fri, 9 am-3 pm. Can be reserved with member punchcard per person, or $5 per person for nonmembers. Call 425-489-0707. Check in at Senior Center prior to play.

A new, fun way to workout

Kenmore Cardio Drumming

Ongoing Mon 11:30 am-12:30 pm

Description:Give cardio drumming a try!  Utilizing fitness balls and drumsticks, cardio drumming combines cardio exercise and drumming to music for an easy and effective work out.  $32 member/$64 nonmember per month

Belly Dancing for Strength and Balance

Ongoing Thu 11 am-Noon

Discover the joy of movement with a belly dance class designed for fun, fitness, and well-being! Strengthen your core, improve balance and coordination, and ease joint pain—all while enjoying the rhythm and fluidity of dance. Our lively, senior instructor believes in making exercise enjoyable and accessible. This welcoming, standing class is open to adults of all ages, no prior experience needed! Wear loose, comfortable clothing, bring your energy, and let’s dance toward better health—together..

All levels welcome. $32 MEMBER/$64 NONMEMBER PER MONTH

Tone-up Fitness

Ongoing Mon 10:30-11:30 am

Feel more alive and energetic after stretching, exercising, and toning up your muscles. Emphasis on gentle exercises to help flexibility and balance. Learn exercises that you can do at home in between classes. Simple, fun and healthy. All levels welcome. Instructor: Mary Ann Draye, RN, ARNP (ret.)

Qi-Gong

Kenmore - Qi-gong in the Park

Ongoing Wed 11 am-12:15pm

Description:"Chee-Kung" is an ancient Chinese exercise using Posture, Movement, Deep Breathing and Conscious Intent to move life energy through your body. Sit or stand for this self-healing gentle exercise. Easy, yet powerful. You can do it. Open to the community. Advanced registration is required. Dress for the weather as many classes will be in the fresh air. Certified Instructor: Patricia Wagner

Your Northshore Senior Center membership of $48/year provides access to all 3 locations, Bothell, Kenmore and Mill Creek!  Member benefits include many free and reduced-price clubs, classes and fitness programs. Call 425.489.0707 or stop by our little cottage in Rhododendron Park Mon-Fri, 9am-3pm to pick up a schedule, sign up for a class and stay for a cup of coffee.
