Join in the fun at the Kenmore Library Building Club


Suitable for Kids (Ages 6 to 8) Tweens (Ages 9 to 12)

Come to the library and be an engineer at an unstructured, creative open house. We supply the building materials, you supply the imagination!

Ages 8 and older, ages 5 to 7 with adult.

Registration not required.


The following are programs for Adults and All Ages happening at the Kenmore Library in December


Thursdays, 10am-12pm

Description: Practice speaking with other English language learners. Learn about American culture and meet people from around the world.

 


Tuesday, January 7, 4-5pm

Description: Play and practice chess! All skill levels are welcome.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Kenmore Library.

Ages 9 and older, ages 8 and younger with adult supervision.

 



Friday, January 10, 2-4pm

Description: Come to the library to create casual art in a relaxed and friendly environment with basic arts supplies, tea, snacks and quiet music. You can also bring your own project to work on!

In January, experiment with embossing images on heavy duty aluminum foil to create art similar to the Mexican craft of hojalata, which is traditionally done on tin. You get a small amount of instruction and a then a lot of time to experiment. Drop in at any time.

Friday, January 24, 2-3:30pm

Description: An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz. New members always welcome.

Please register to receive discussion questions. If you register, you will be emailed a link the day before the program, so that you can attend online if you wish. Register for each session that you wish to attend. Walk-ins welcome.

 

 

 




Wednesday, January 15, 6:30-7:30pm

Description: In January, start off the series of Meal Courses with:

The Complete Small Plates Cookbook: 300+ Shareable Tapas, Meze, Bar Snacks, Dumplings, Salads, and More from America's Test Kitchen

Try making one or more recipes of your choice from this month’s cookbook! Send a photo of your finished dish to the librarian host along with brief comments about your experience. We cannot share food at these meetings, but we will watch a slide show of our cooking adventures and share successes and failures!
