Description: Practice speaking English with other English language learners and trained conversation helpers. All levels are welcome.

Description: Play and practice chess! All skill levels are welcome.

Sponsored by the Kenmore Library Association.

Ages 9 and older, ages 8 and younger with adult.

Friday, January 9, 2-4pm

Description: Come to the library to create casual art in a relaxed and friendly environment. We will have basic arts supplies, tea and snacks and quiet music. You can also bring your own project to work on!

In January, we will have watercolor paper and basic watercolor and brush sets. You will get a small amount of instruction and then a lot of time to experiment. Drop in at any time.

Description: In January, we begin the year with Claudia Roden's Mediterranean: Treasured Recipes From a Lifetime of Travel.

Try making one or more recipes of your choice from this month's cookbook! Send a photo of your finished dish or dishes to the librarian host along with brief comments about your experience.

We cannot share food at these meetings; instead watch a slide show of our cooking adventures and share successes and failures!
