For the Love of Kenmore Workshop Set for April 29th

Is it possible to be in love with your City? Have you ever wanted to do something fun or inspiring for your community but didn't know where to start?

Here's your chance. The "For the Love of Kenmore" free community workshop is set for Monday, April 29th, 2019 at Kenmore City Hall.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the workshop is from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Inspired by community engagement expert Peter Kageyama, Kenmore City Manager Rob Karlinsey will lead this fun and interactive workshop to help you connect with your neighbors and your City. You'll hear from others who turned ideas into real projects that brought people together and created fun and beauty throughout our city. Then, you will have the opportunity to turn your ideas into action!

"Love notes" led by the community in years past have included the mural along 73rd Ave NE, painted fire hydrants, Kenmore Air Seaplane Fly-In, block parties, and more.

Before the event, send in your photos! If you could show the world, in just three photographs, what you love about Kenmore, what would it be? Email your pics to cityhall@kenmorewa.gov by April 24th. Workshop attendees will vote on winning photo! Winner will receive a prize, but must be present to win (Photos must be taken by you. By entering, you grant the City of Kenmore permission to use your photo in perpetuity in any medium).

Sandwiches will be served at 6:30 p.m. RSVPs are appreciated, but not required. Contact us at (425) 398-8900 or cityhall@kenmorewa.gov for questions, accommodations, translation, or interpretation services. See you soon!
