Financial assistance scholarships make Kenmore Senior Center accessible for all



The Northshore Senior Center including the Kenmore Senior Center offers financial assistance for eligible seniors. The scholarship program includes membership for a single year and a 10-class fitness punch card for participants to attend 10 eligible fitness classes.


Fitness programs include Line Dancing, Enhance Fitness, Cardio Drumming, Pilates, Circuit Training, Aerobics, Spin Class, S.T.A.R.T., Strength & Balance, Tone Up, Yoga (Mill Creek ONLY), Zumba and access to Health & Wellness Fitness Center. SHAPE UP Fitness Coupons, located in NSC catalogs, also offers special discounts on some fitness programs for King County residents. See coupon for details

  • To qualify for financial assistance, you must meet Income Guidelines.*


    *NSC uses income eligibility guidelines set by the United States Department of Health & Human


    Services Poverty Guidelines for the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia.

A new, fun way to workout

Cardio Drumming

Ongoing Mon 11:30 am-12:30 pm

Not interested in traditional exercise classes? Give cardio drumming a try! Utilizing fitness balls and drumsticks cardio drumming combines cardio exercise and drumming to the rhythm of music in an easy but effective workout. $32 member/$64 non-member per month. Instructor: Nancy Wilson



Outdoor Pickleball

Location: Kenmore Senior Center

Mon.- Fri. 9 am-3pm

Court is outside in Rhododendron Park. We have nets, paddles and balls, or bring your own. 2-hour court times available Mon-Fri, 9 am-3 pm. Can be reserved with member punchcard per person, or $5 per person for nonmembers. Call 425-489-0707. Check in at Senior Center prior to play.



Chair Pilates

The benefits of Pilates modified for being seated in a chair. Wheelchair/walker friendly. All levels welcome. $32 members/$64 non-members per month


Mat Pilates

Ongoing Thu 9:30-10:30 am

This beginner mat pilates class is designed to increase strength, flexibility and balance for a full body workout. All levels welcome. Bring a mat, towel and water bottle.

Tapping for calm: EFT basics for beginners

June 3 Wed 1-3 pm

Discover Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) in a gentle, beginner-friendly session. Learn the tapping points, practice a simple set-up phrase, check your emotional comfort before and after a round—so you leave feeling better than when you started. Great technique for your well-being toolbox! Limit 12.




Qi-Gong

Kenmore - Qi-gong in the Park

Ongoing Wed 11 am-12:15pm

Description:"Chee-Kung" is an ancient Chinese exercise using Posture, Movement, Deep Breathing and Conscious Intent to move life energy through your body. Sit or stand for this self-healing gentle exercise. Easy, yet powerful. You can do it. Open to the community. Advanced registration is required. Dress for the weather as many classes will be in the fresh air. Certified Instructor: Patricia Wagner

Come join in as we enjoy each other's company and play the "greatest card game of all". All skill levels welcome. Punch card required.

Backgammon

Ongoing Tue. noon-3pm

Enjoying a recent resurgence, the ancient dice game of Backgammon is a mix of luck, strategy and skill. Fundamentals, board set-up, and basic rules will be taught. From novice to seasoned player, backgammon is a wonderful way to stay sharp, meet new people and have fun! All skill levels welcome. Backgammon boards provided, or bring your own.
