Join us for Family Story Time at the Kenmore Library

Fridays 10:00AM – 10:30AM and 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Description

Enjoy stories, music, movement and rhymes. Help develop your child's early literacy skills.

Suitable for:

Kids (Ages 3 to 5)

Kids (Ages newborn to 2)

All ages welcome with adult. 

Registration not required. Space is limited.

Thursdays, 10am-12pm (no session December 25)

Description: Practice speaking English with other English language learners and trained conversation helpers. All levels are welcome.

 

Registration not required.

Wednesday, December 10, 4-5pm

Description: Play and practice chess! All skill levels are welcome.

Sponsored by the Kenmore Library Association.

Ages 9 and older, ages 8 and younger with adult.

Friday, December 12, 2-4pm

Description: Come to the library to create casual art in a relaxed and friendly environment with basic arts supplies, tea, snacks and quiet music. You can also bring your own project to work on!

In December, we will have a variety of supplies from past art drop-ins for you to use in any way you wish:

Coloring, watercolors, Sharpie tie-dye, embroidery, collage, paper beads, 1.5" button-making, punch needles, sumi-e, origami, and 3D pens.

Wednesday, December 17, 6:30-7:30pm

Description: In December, we finish our series of Seattle and Washington Authors with The Wok: Recipes and Techniques by J. Kenji López-Alt.

Try making one or more recipes of your choice from this month’s cookbook! Send a photo of your finished dish to the librarian host along with brief comments about your experience. We cannot share food at these meetings, but we will watch a slide show of our cooking adventures and share successes and failures!
