Don't Put It Off: Advance Directives and Living Wills Workshop

The following are programs for Adults and All Ages happening at the Kenmore Library in May

Saturday, May 31, 2-3:30pm

Description: End of life planning is easy to put off, but this presentation with question and answer period can put you in position to plan ahead for end-of-life.

Review how to prepare and complete an Advance Directive. Learn how to choose a Health Care Agent if you can’t speak for yourself. Discuss what choices are legal and accessible to die on your terms in Washington State.


After attending this session, we hope you’ll feel more comfortable talking to the people you trust with your care about your end-of-life wishes. Conversations that will help them know how to honor your values.


Thursdays, 10am-12pm

Description: Practice speaking with other English language learners. Learn about American culture and meet people from around the world.

 

 


Wednesday, May 6, 4-5pm

Description: Play and practice chess! All skill levels are welcome.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Kenmore Library.

Ages 9 and older, ages 8 and younger with adult.


Friday, May 9, 2-4pm

Description: Come to the library to create casual art in a relaxed and friendly environment with basic arts supplies, tea, snacks and quiet music. You can also bring your own project to work on!

In May, try out 3D Pens. You get a small amount of instruction and a then a lot of time to experiment.

Description: Hold Still: a Memoir With Photographs by Sally Mann.

Wednesday, May 21, 6:30-7:30pm

Description: In May, continue the series of Meal Courses with Nadiya Bakes by Nadiya Hussain.

Try making one or more recipes of your choice from this month’s cookbook! Send a photo of your finished dish to the librarian host along with brief comments about your experience. We cannot share food at these meetings, but we will watch a slide show of our cooking adventures and share successes and failures!
