Diabetes, Lower Your Risk a Kenmore Library online event


Learn more about controlling your diabetes risk


Tuesday, December 3, 6-7pm

Hear from a medical doctor and a registered dietitian on how you can take an active role in treating and managing diabetes.Over 96 million Americans have prediabetes—roughly 38% of the U.S. population and nine out of 10 don’t know they have it. Untreated diabetes can lead to many serious medical problems including heart disease and stroke. 


Presented by Dr. Maria Mercado, MD, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Specialist, Overlake Medical Center. Overlake Registered Dietitian to answer nutrition questions. Automated closed captioning is always available for online events.

Thursdays, 10am-12pm. (No session Nov. 28)

Description: Practice speaking with other English language learners. Learn about American culture and meet people from around the world.



Saturday, December 14, 2-3pm

Description: Make art that reminds us how wonderful we are! Combine the mandala form, watercolor, collage and messages of kindness. Supplies provided. Sponsored by the Kenmore Library Association.

Description: Hopelink Community Navigators will be on hand to help you with:

  • Trip planning

  • Use of all transit modes
