Learn about American culture and meet people from around the world, while connecting from home! 

Please register by 10am on the Monday before class.

Registration opens at 5am and closes at 10am the day before the class (25 spots)

Second Friday Arts for Adults: Sumi-e

Friday, July 11, 2-4pm

Description: Come to the library to create casual art in a relaxed and friendly environment with basic arts supplies, tea, snacks and quiet music. You can also bring your own project to work on!

In July, try your hand at the art of sumi-e, or Japanese ink painting. You will get a small amount of instruction and a then a lot of time to experiment. Sponsored by the Kenmore Library Association.

Description: In July, we begin our series of Seattle and Washington Authors with:

Mortar & Pestle by Patricia Tanumihardja and Juliana Evari Suparman.

Try making one or more recipes of your choice from this month’s cookbook! Send a photo of your finished dish to the librarian host along with brief comments about your experience. We cannot share food at these meetings, but we will watch a slide show of our cooking adventures and share successes and failures!
