Cascade Canoe and Kayak Racing Team to highlight June potluck

Grab your BBQ burger, potato salad and your laptop and join us for our June 9 virtual potluck to hear about the exciting and competitive world of canoe and kayak racing from Dan Henderson of the Cascade Canoe and Kayak Racing Team based right here in Kenmore, WA.

The organization focuses on developing young athletes (10 and older) in Olympic style race Kayaking & Canoeing, as well as for adults and Paracanoe. As you may or may not remember from the Rio Olympics sprint canoe and kayak races are held on flat water with competitors assigned to lanes. Much like shell racing the competition is fierce and the races are exciting.

With the Cascade Canoe and Kayak Racing Team, Kenmore just might have a future Olympian competing for a medal. Put it on your calendar and plan to tune in:
